BEST SURF IN GOA INDIA – KRANTI YOGA SCHOOL 2024-25

In Goa, it's not just about yoga; it's a great spot for surfing too! Surfing in Goa is fantastic, especially from October to April. If you're here for a Yoga Holiday at Kranti Yoga, we suggest giving surfing a try as a fun addition to your yoga routine.

“Where’s the best surf in Goa for beginners?”

In Goa, beginners find great surfing conditions along the coastline. The beaches are wide, quiet, and the mild winds work well for learners. The gentle waves are perfect for practicing balance. A typical surf lesson here spans two hours, covering safety basics, theoretical aspects, beach practice, and some time catching waves in the Arabian Sea.

There are many choices for beginner surfers with the rise of Surf Schools along the coast. Goa has become a sought-after place for safe learning due to its gentle conditions and waves.

"Which beaches in Goa are good for surfing?"

Some of the best surfing spots near Kranti Yoga are at Agonda Beach in Goa. It's a stunning place for surfing with its untouched beauty. The beach is peaceful and seems endless from the sea. The water is clean, and the sand is pure, making it an excellent spot for surfing in Goa. You can enjoy the beautiful waves and still make it back for your 4:30 pm Vinyasa Class or even fit in a massage later on! For more details, check out Aloha Surf School.
Further up the coast, there are two popular surfing spots: Arambol Beach and Ashvem Beach. Both offer surf schools and easy surfboard rentals. At Ashvem, there's a lovely lagoon where the river and sea meet. The water is shallow, and the gentle waves, about 50 meters long and 1-2 meters high, are great for beginners. Arambol Beach, about 16km long, is a top surfing spot in Goa. It's home to Surfwala, a well-established surf school operating since 2010. These spots make for a great day trip from Kranti Yoga, approximately 3 hours north of Patnem Beach. You can easily visit and surf both beaches in a day.
To sum up, surfing in Goa is becoming more popular due to the great conditions and stunning coastline. If you're holidaying at Kranti Yoga, you're fortunate to have excellent surfing options nearby. Agonda Beach is right here, offering fantastic waves, and other popular spots are just a quick trip away. These beaches are ideal for beginners to learn and offer picturesque views and clean waves that experienced surfers will appreciate.
