THINGS TO DO IN GOA WITH KRANTI YOGA SCHOOL INDIA 2024-25

Whether you're here at Kranti Yoga for your transformative yoga teacher training or seeking a rejuvenating yoga retreat in the sun, Goa has much more to offer! Allow us to guide you with some fantastic suggestions for your stay.

Today, we're planning to visit a spice farm nearby as part of our Goa activities list.

The journey from Kranti Yoga to the spice farm takes about an hour, offering picturesque views of the Indian countryside along the way. Nestled in a stunning jungle locale, Raj and his family have nurtured this farm for over four generations. In a small group setting, you'll embark on a comprehensive tour exploring their diverse crops—ranging from vanilla and coffee to nutmeg, turmeric, and an assortment of chilies (brave souls can taste-test these, but beware, the smaller ones pack a fiery punch!).

Guided through the farm, you'll receive a wealth of information about plant cultivation, uses, and the rich history of both the farm and spices in India. Established centuries ago, this farm reflects a deep connection between the family and the land, weather, and annual climate cycles. Undoubtedly, this trip is an essential addition to our Goa activities list.

You're warmly invited to immerse yourself in the world of spices and plants. Witness the entire process—from harvesting and preparation to drying and storage—up close and personal. The tour is laid-back, fostering an atmosphere where questions are encouraged. Raj and his family's immense knowledge and passion for their farm shine through, creating an enriching experience.Prepare for a unique visit inside the family's mud-built home, adding a special touch to your journey. Following this, indulge in a delectable buffet-style lunch freshly prepared on the farm daily (trust us, it's divine!). And if you fancy, take home some of their exquisite spices, coffee, or oils available for purchase, perfect to extend the flavors of your visit.

If you're seeking activities during your day off at Kranti Yoga and want to support local ventures, we highly recommend a visit to the spice farm. It's an engaging and informative experience that will enrich your time and leave you brimming with new knowledge and intriguing tidbits to share when you return to Kranti. After all, who wouldn't want to add a bit more spice to their life?
